and Horse Training
At Trail Horses of Missouri, we have a training program that prepares horses for many obstacles you might meet on the trail. We start with ground work based on natural horsemanship techniques. When the horse is ready we teach him how to walk, trot, lope, and back up under saddle. We then expose him to water crossings and bridges, logs to step or jump over, opening and closing gates, forest trails, ditches and steep hills, highway traffic, railroads, and a variety of animals he might see while on the trail. We also have the ability to expose the horse to cattle if you wish.
If you are looking for a particular breed or color but you don't see one on our website, give us a call. We often have some horses in training that are not quite ready to be put up on our website, but you can always come and see what we have to offer!
